Celebrity Big Brother star Shilpa Shetty to marry Raj Kundra this autumn



Celebrity Big Brother star and sizzling hot sexy bombshell of Bollywood Shilpa Shetty again hits the newsstand in Britain. Confirm news comes that Shilpa will be marrying Raj Kundra, London-based Indian businessman, this autumn.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra formed a successful business partnership following Shilpa’s appearance on the reality television show. The business empire of the couple includes a £10 million stake in the Indian Premier League’s Rajasthan Royals Twenty20 cricket team and a recently acquired readymade meals chain in Britain.

Earlier Shilpa Shetty became a household name in Britain after she was racially abused on Big Brother reality show on television there by late Jade Goody.

Shilpa ShettySurendra Shetty, father of Shilpa Shetty, said that the wedding of the couple plans in an application for his passport to be returned that was confiscated after the charges for threatening a business associate who owed money to Shilpa.

Mr. Shetty has been accused of sending gangsters for collecting debt from Sari manufacturer Pankaj Agarwal after his firm and renowned brand Praful Sarees did not pay Shilpa Shetty for a modeling assignment in those days when the Bollywood career of Shilpa was at a low point.

Mr Shetty and his wife Sunanda have only traveled abroad with court’s permission after this sending gangster episode.

In his application to the court Mr. Shetty states that the wedding of Shilpa and Raj Kundra would take place in Britain between September and the end of December.



Bollywood actor Salman Khan may become the owner of the one of the two new teams in Indian Premier League (IPL).

In this regard Salman met IPL chairman Lalit Modi today and showed interest in bidding for a team for IPL 2011 edition.

Niranjan Shah, vice-president of IPL governing council said, “Salman came in during the break along with some friends.” He further added, “They (Salman Khan and his friends) made inquiries about buying a team.”

Salman Khan with buying the franchise will join an impressive list of Bollywood stars who own IPL teams.

Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla is the owners of Kolkata Knight Riders and Preity Zinta own King’s XI Punjab. Shilpa Shetty has also invested in Rajasthan Royals. Now the Bollywood war will be fought strongly on a different battle ground.

it will not be easy Salman Khan to own because some of the leading corporates of India will also participate in the auction going to be held in January 2010. According to markets analysts one new team could be sold for as much as Rs. 1000 Crores.

Lalit Modi said to the media, “He (Salman Khan) was interested to know what it takes to own a team, what’s the process, when it’ll be initiated and what’s the timeline for it.” Modi also confirmed by saying, “I think he’s a serious buyer.”

About other Bollywood stars showing interest in buying a team Lalit Modi said that few of them have also expressed interest.

Rumors are there that Ajay Devgan is one of them.

Shilpa Shetty’s new venture, readymade meals chain in Britain



It seems Shilpa Shetty loves to do something away from the Bollywood track. After Big Brother, Twenty20 cricket and spas, now she is venturing into the F&B segment. Shilpa is on the way to open chain of readymade meals in Britain.

On her blog she wrote from London that it gives her great pleasure to announce that she along with her fiancé Raj Kundra have invested with the V8 Gourmet Group. She also writes that Indian food is much enjoyed in Britain and it has a huge market for Indian food chain. According to her chicken tikka masala is becoming Britain’s favourite.

She further said, “…this was only a sign for us to think it right to invest and procure a 33 percent stake in V8 that encompasses Vama, Shilpa ShettyThe Bombay Bicycle Club and Tiffinbites. We also do airline catering and the newest plan is to introduce readymade Indian meals that will be under 10 percent fat.”

The co-owner of V8 is celebrity chef Andy Vama.
Shilpa Shetty hopes to launch this chain of readymade meals in Britain after Christmas. She said that it is great to know that their restaurants are frequently visited and appreciated by celebrity clients such as Brad Pitt, Woody Allen, Mick Jagger, His Highness King Abdullah of Jordan, Bryan Adams, Rowan Atkinson, Uma Thurman, Amitabh Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan.

Shetty also added that they have plans of branching out the chain to Dubai and Jordan by end of this year.

Rumor is also there that Shilpa is starting this chain meal business in remembrance of the late British reality TV star Jade Goody, but she dismissed this rumor. Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty interacted in “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2007 in Britain.
