Maria Shriver has filed a divorce to Arnold Schwarzenegger, twenty five after their fairy tale marriage on Cape Cod. The former television news journalist and the Kennedy family heiress has given reasons like irreconcilable differences but refused to give any other details about the divorce.

Shriver hadn’t listed a date when the couple separated but they did announce that they had done so May 9. A week later the “Terminator” sequel hero had announced that he had another child with one of his domestic help.

The filing of the divorce has brought about an end to the sacred communion which had held a rising film star of Hollywood and a heir of the Kennedy clan who herself was an up coming network newscaster.

Shriver’s filings do not mention any pre-martial agreement that would help Arnold to not share his money that he had earned as a Hollywood superstar, with his estranged wife. Shriver is seeking spousal support though it has been made clear that the amount would be determined later. The divorce is not going to be handled publicly.

Economic disclosure forms of Arnold show that he owns more than eight assets which is evaluated to be worth $1 million each. Again he still owns the intellectual property from his days as a Hollywood superstar.

While Shriver”s properties are modest, evaluated at $1 million, she has her rights to some of assets of the Kennedy household in addition to owning rights and royalties of her work as an author.

The 73-year old singer Etta James has been suffering from leukemia and dementia and was admitted to a hospital, this week. She had a urinary tract infection and sepsis, said her son Sametto James to The Press-Enterprise newspaper. The veteran singer, living in Woodcrest east of Los Angeles were to stay in hospital for “as long as it takes to clear her infections”, said Sametto. In 2010, she was hospitalized for some similar problems. There occurred a legal family dispute over the control of her possessions and payment of her medical bills, informed the newspaper agency.

The movie “Unlawful Killing” will be shown in the Cannes film festival this week. The film had been financed partly by Mohammed Fayed, father of Diana’s lover and Dodi Fayed who died in the car crash along with Diana. The director of the film Keith Allen called the film an “inquest of the inquest” into the death of Princess Diana. The trailor of the movie shows a letter written in 1993 by Diana that showed her fears about the fact that someone was conspiring to kill her.

“My husband is planning ‘an accident’ in my car. Brake failure or serious head injury,” read the note. Then the film explores the investigation of Diana’s death. The movie shows the photos of Diana, near death at the Paris tunnel where the crash had occurred, which was ruled as a driving accident.
